Common Questions
-
What happens in a session?
We talk. Seriously — that's most of it. But it's a particular kind of conversation: focused, directed, and aimed at getting you clearer about what you want and what to do next. Sometimes I'll guide you through a specific technique or exercise if it's useful.
-
What is NLP?
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is a set of tools for understanding how we think, communicate, and create our experience. In practice, it means techniques for changing unhelpful patterns, communicating more effectively, and getting clearer on what you want.
-
What about Hypnosis? Will I lose control?
No. Hypnosis in a coaching context is simply a state of relaxed focus — similar to being absorbed in a good book or a daydream. You're completely aware and in control the whole time. It's a tool for accessing your own capabilities more easily, not for someone to "programme" you.
-
Is this like therapy?
No. This is coaching, not therapy. The focus is forward-looking: what do you want, and how do you get there? If you're dealing with clinical issues like depression or trauma, I'd recommend seeing a qualified therapist first.
-
How many sessions will I need?
It varies. Some people get what they need in one or two sessions. Others prefer ongoing work over weeks or months. There's no minimum commitment — we'll figure it out as we go.
-
Do sessions work online?
Yes. Online sessions work well and most people find them just as effective as in-person. We can discuss what works best for you.

What if it's not for me?
Then that's absolutely fine. The introductory chat is free and pressure-free. If it's not a good fit, I'll say so. And if at any point you decide it's not working, you just stop. No questions asked.
